# 3077  Opening Day 2021

Thursday: DAY IN REVIEW: It was opening day after a year without lacrosse and all four games today were mismatches. Bloomfield-Honeoye scored first in their opener at Waterloo and never lost the lead in what was a close game until in the last stanza, the Pride scored four unanswered goals. Junior midfielder JD Allen left the game with 6g-1a and senior attackman Max Willix had 2g-3a to lead the scoring. For Waterloo, sophomore attackman Nathan Costantino and junior midfielder Peter Shangraw each had 2g-1a for Waterloo who gets a few days off before player Wayne on Tuesday.

# 2895  Marcus Whitman Holds Strong in OT

Marcus Whitman held off a late push by Bloomfield-Honeoye to defeat the Pride 12-11 in the first overtime period.  The Wildcats had a six goals stretch to the end the third and start the fourth quarter.  The streak took them to a three goal lead with just under six minutes remaining in regulation.  The Pride fought back and scored three goals of their own before regulation expired.  However, it was Kyle Murphy who scored the game winning goal for the Wildcats in overtime.

Monday: DAY IN REVIEW: The second half of the Thomas at Wayne game was played tonight and the Titans, who led 5-4 when the game was suspended scored two goals in each of the remaining quarters to win 9-6. Sophomore attackman, Joe Russo led the Thomas book with 4g and junior offensiveman John Reagan led the Wayne book with 3g. Thomas plays Gates Chili on Tuesday and Wayne plays Mynderse.

Monday: DAY IN REVIEW: In the only game played today, the Bloomfield-Honeoye Pride defeated the visiting Gates Chili Spartans 13-9. After a 1-1 tie in the first quarter, the Pride took off with six unanswered goals and never looked back. Sophomore attackman Max Willix (4g) and senior midfielder Devin Campbell (2g-2a) led the offense while sophomore goalie Owen Saxby recorded 11 saves (55%). Blake Palozzi led the Spartan effort with five goals.
